What is your opinion on teenage parents? good? bad? indifferent?

I am a teen mum myself and am wondering why teen parents get a lot of critizism? I am 18 years old, Mother to a beautiful 18 month old girl and 18 weeks with my second child (who this time round was planned!) I am still with the babies Father and we are celebrating our 3 year anniversary this coming April. He works 6 days a week welding and fabrication, I study and have plans for University (physiotherapist or speech pathology) and we don't drink nor do we smoke party or do drugs... it's like every teen parent is painted out to be a dysfunctional parent who is unintelligent and inadequate. I do admit, I have seen some bad parents out there, but they are of all ages ranging from 14 to 40! So, what do you think?
