Join the Air Force or Navy?

I'm 23 and living in California, specifically in the Sacramento region. There really are no real job opportunities other than fast food. I earned a welding and metal fabrication certificate in high school r.o.p., have 3 units at CSUS, and 12 units at a cc. I'm a tall and slender but a really good runner and normally lift 10-90 pounds through out the day at my grocery job store working dairy.
