He probably symbolizes your current ideal image for a potential lover. Your mind has gathered information as to what you like and what you don't like about men and created this person for you. Or, you feel this need to be in love with this kind of person, but are not in waking life so your subconscious gives it to you in your dreams so that you feel some form of satisfaction?
