Is there any good paying jobs that involves cars?

Im currently 19 years old and im trying to figure out what to do with my life. My passion is cars. I would love to be a mechanic but average salary of 40k a year doesnt make me too eager. Is there any other field i can get into that pays better? Anything that involves cars (engineer, fabrication, auto body, ex.) would be ideal. I really dont wanna waste time and money on something thats not really worth it. Thank you for any help you can give me.
