If had watered an area that has weeds that wish to spray with round up herbicide...how long must wait before?

I believe Roundup contains glyphosate. This works best on a dry sunny day when rain is not imminent. If it rains within 6 hours of application the weedkiller will be much less effective. Glyphosate based weedkillers are environmentally friendly as they do not pollute.
